Waiting and Trusting in God’s Timing

God Is My Hope

It can be one of the hardest things you do in life. You keep praying and praying for something. You keep waiting and waiting for God to act, yet you see no answer. You start to question God. You start to wonder why He doesn’t care. You start to wonder if He even hears you.

You then read Matthew 21:22 (And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.) and say to yourself “I believe, I have faith, why do I not receive what I’m asking for?”

1. God is not your genie. He doesn’t give you things just because you want them, or ask for them.

2. God very well may answer your prayers and give you exactly what you are asking for, but He might be saying that you’re not ready for it yet, or that the timing isn’t right yet.

3. God loves…

Imputed Righteousness

Galatians 2:20

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.-King James

This mime skit is a portion of a sermon on imputed righteousness from Juanita Bynum. VERY POWERFUL.

Tuesday morning Bible study: Who is Jesus?

Colossians 1:15-20

The One who makes visible the invisible God. He is the One by whom and for whom everything in all creation was made. He holds the universe together. He is Lord over the church. He is the first to rise from the dead to live eternally. He is supreme over all. The fullness of God the Father dwells Him. His shed blood is the payment for our sins, and only He can make peace between God and us. He is faithful, forgiving, loving, good,  giver of grace and mercy. HE IS EVERYTHING! This is Jesus…This is God.

From women of faith study Bible-Christ is supreme.

One Word 2015

To have confidence in the TRUTH. The existence , or the reliability of something.

I will believe and trust in Jesus, making it a habit to always put my life in the capable hands of my creator. I believe He is always leading me, guiding me and walking by my side. I believe in Jesus. I believe in God my Father. I won’t be afraid…I’ll just Believe.

God is so good to me!

The LORD is my light and my salvation– whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life– of whom shall I be afraid? ~ Psalm 27:1

There are times when a song grabs hold of my spirit and really ministers to me.  Dara Maclean sings a song called “So good to me” that does just that.  I found this song (I thought)  by accident on YouTube. Only it was not an accident, I was hearing these words for a reason. At the time my heart was filled with such worry and fear over financial difficulties, that I was not hearing the Lord’s voice of peace. The first verse was “Why would I ever worry? Why would I ever live in fear? These first words took hold of me and resonated in my heart.  To remind me that worry and fear has no place in my life.  Then she sings “I know my God is for me, there’s a peace surpassing every single tear”.  Whoa…read that again… “I KNOW my GOD is for me”. Such a declaration of trust in God! That is the key to putting all of my trust in God, knowing first and foremost that He is for me and loves me. That people or trials cannot stand against us when God is standing before us {Romans 8:31}. When we come to that place of  trust in Him, He will give us beautiful peace. Peace that surpasses all our understanding{Philippians 4:7}. When we are going through financial woes, health issues or whatever tries to take our peace, we know that God is in the midst of it all working it out for our good.  Life is Good to me, because GOD is so Good to me. He IS my life!

This entire song is a blessing…play below to hear for yourself!
